Abstract
Introducing three leadership articles, J.P. Kotter's (1995) Leading change: why transformation efforts fail, H. Mintzberg's (2004) Enough Leadership, and R. Semler's (1993) Maverick! - The success story behind the world's most unusual workplace as essential reading material for graduate and undergraduate level courses on leadership. Kotter's article goes beyond his seminal argument divorcing leadership and management to argue leadership is the essence of managing change, Semler describes some of the most unusual leadership and management practises at a workplace and Mintzberg questions the relevancy of leadership.
