Abstract
This tool kit was developed to assist legal and other educators in developing a community collaboration. It was developed for a two-part workshop given by the authors, who are co-directors of a law school clinic that is part of a medical-legal partnership. The tool kit contains exercises designed to aid in the creation of a partnership designed to address the socio-economic determinants of health. The model for the workshop is the development plan for an innovative interdisciplinary community collaboration among a law school, a legal services provider, and a pediatric health system. The tool kit contains resources on creating a collaboration, finding partners, defining roles and responsibilities through a Memorandum of Understanding, cultivating financial support and ensuring sustainability, and program evaluation.
