Abstract
The Trump Administration's zero-sum approach to climate and energy policies threatens to interfere with a just energy transition. Not only will this delay necessary action to mitigate climate change and transition away from fossil fuels, it will also harm the very communities the Administration purports to want to help. Climate mitigation may involve trade-offs, but it need not be the zero-sum political game that President Trump wants to play.
